Kurt Donald Kobain (Aberdeen 20 Febbraio 1967 - Seattle 5 Aprile 1994)
A soli 27 anni, ci lascia uno dei più grandi artisti della storia della musica, tanto grande che le sue parole e le sue melodie sono rimaste e rimarranno per sempre, nei nostri cuori.
Kurt e i Nirvana, nati nel 1987, segnano un'epoca e si fanno portavoci di una generazione di cui la famosa Smell like teen spirit, sarà l'indelebile colonna sonora.
Come ogni personalità forte e personaggi intensi e carismatici Kurt e la band sono le icone del grunge style (letteralmente il termine grunge significa "sporco"), che nasce e si sviluppa proprio nella loro città, Seattle, che in quel periodo vede nascere numerosi complessi che musicalmente mescolavano punk, rock ed havy metal, dando vita ad un nuovo sound che libera la purezza della voce e degli strumenti.
La voce rotta e strascicata, le melodie che emozionano, il modo di vestire trasandato, incurante degli sguardi degli altri, così proiettato a esplorare se stesso e a toccare le nostre corde più profonde. Kurt Kobain era un vero poeta, una persona che soffriva per il male del mondo, una sensibilità estrema che usciva come un grido, quando era sul palco, distruggendo le convenzioni e i pregiudizi.
Lo stile grunge, proprio dei Nirvana e degli anni '90, dalla musica, si mescola velocemente alla moda, ai modi di vestire, ma sopratutto di essere, in quanto rappresentante di una generazione ed un'atteggiamento di vita: maglioni sformati e bucati, jeans strappati, parka, giacche oversize e stampe maxi, sono alcuni dei simboli che caratterizzano il grunge style, che ha e tutt'ora affascina, stilisti e trendsetter di tutto il mondo.
Io personalmente, lo adoro, perchè rappresenta gli anni in cui ero piccola, in cui sono cresciutae sono cambiata.

Like any strong personality and intense characters and charismatic Kurt and the band are the icons of grunge style (literally the term grunge means "dirty"), which was born and developed in their city, Seattle, which at the time saw the emergence of many complex and musically mixed punk, rock and havy metal, creating a new sound that liberates the purity of voice and instruments.
The broken voice, drawling, the melodies that excite, the way they dress sloppy, careless of the eyes of others, so projected to explore itself and touch our deepest chords. Kurt Kobain was a true poet, a person who suffered from the evil of the world, an extreme sensitivity that came out as a scream when he was on stage, destroying conventions and prejudices.
The grunge, music, flits also fashionable, as the representative of a generation and an attitude to life: baggy sweaters and holes, ripped jeans, parkas, jackets and oversized prints maxi, are some of the symbols that characterize the grunge style which has and still fascinates, stylists and trendsetters worldwide.
Me personally, I love it because it represents years when I was little, grew up and I've changed.
